  • ARABIAN NIGHTS Radio Program

ABBA has its own radio program, where we bring you the best in Arabic music.  AABA radio broadcasts The Arabian Nights Program every Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 1550 WNTN on the AM dial. The program includes paid advertisers, Arabic music, community news, and personal messages.  The program is broadcast in English and features both new and old-time favorite music of the Middle East.  We work with our supporting churches and organizations in announcing their events and festivities.  The Arabian Nights Radio Program is the oldest and longest running ethnic radio program in the country.   We’re proud of our disc jockeys and thankful for our sponsors.

The Arabian Nights program was created by the late Charles Shagoury in 1937 and had been faithfully carried on by his daughter Nancy and then by Tom Jabaily for many years.  Now it is the pleasure of the American Arabic Benevolent Association to carry on with this long-standing happy tradition.

There are several methods in which someone can provide support:  Full Business advertisement ($25 for 50 seconds), Business Card advertisement ($15 per business card reading), or Personal Announcement (No Charge).

If you want to advertise with us, or if you have any comments or suggestion regarding the program please contact us.

  • AABA Golf Tournament

AABA sponsors an annual golf tournament in another effort to raise money for the AABA projects.  The event is usually held in September and is reasonably priced.  Contact us or listen to our radio program for more information.

  • AABA Scholastic Achievement Awards

Our belief in the importance of education is exemplified by our continued support of scholastic awards programs.  Through the Nicholas G. Beram Veteran’s Association and the Syrian-Lebanese Women’s Club, AABA supports our high school seniors pursuing a secondary education.  We currently award four (4)  $1,000 scholastic achievement awards each year.

  • AABA Food Certificates

The generosity throughout the year by our members allows AABA to provide food certificates to our affiliated churches, where they are distributed to anonymous needy parishioners.  AABA is fortunate enough to distribute $5,000 in food certificates around Easter and again around Thanksgiving.

  • Donations

As an umbrella organization for the Arabic community, we frequently make donations and support other charitable efforts.  This is all done under the watchful eye of the Board of Directors.
